La proposición la hizo durante la IV Cumbre Presidencial de la Amazonía, de la Organización del Tratado de Cooperación Amazónica (OTCA). La cinta hará parte de la Selección Oficial Discovery, donde competirá por el People’s Choice Award y por el Platform Prize Award, que entrega el jurado, en la edición 48 de este festival cinematográfico, que se realizará entre el 7 y el 17 septiembre.El filme del director Felipe Holguín Caro y la productora Tere Gaviria, que se estrenará en el país en 2024, cuenta la historia de Laureana, una adolescente afrocolombiana que vive en La Suprema y sueña con ser boxeadora.Con una gran mezcla entre el drama y el humor, la cinta habla del coraje y la persistencia de toda una comunidad que lucha por tener mejores condiciones y hasta por aparecer en el mapa social.
